Mineral Exploration
اکتشاف مواد معدنی یا Mineral Exploration اولین و حیاتیترین مرحله در چرخه معدنکاری است که قبل از استخراج انجام میشود و هدف آن شناسایی، ارزیابی و تعیین اقتصادی بودن یک کانسار است.
چرخه معدنکاری به طور کلی شامل سه مرحله اصلی است:
Mineral Exploration (اکتشاف)
Mining / Mineral Extraction (استخراج)
Mineral Processing (فرآوری)

مطالعه سنگها، ساختارها، گسلها و دگرسانیها.
2) روشهای ژئوشیمیایی
بررسی غلظت عناصر در خاک، آب یا سنگ.
3) روشهای ژئوفیزیکی
مغناطیسسنجی
مقاومتسنجی الکتریکی
IP (پلاریزاسیون القایی)
لرزهنگاری
4) حفاری اکتشافی

Core Drilling (دقیقترین روش)
