Specialized Exploration & Mineral Reserve Assessment Team
The company’s Exploration Engineering Team, leveraging state-of-the-art technical knowledge, extensive field experience, and modern technologies, is responsible for the identification, assessment, and modeling of mineral reserves.
Through geological, geochemical, and geophysical studies, exploratory drilling, and specialized data analysis, this team paves the way for the sustainable and economic development of mining projects. Our approach is founded on scientific precision, investment risk reduction, and the optimization of mineral resource extraction.
Since early 2017, the Exploration Department of Kimia Goharan has been estimating and classifying various mine reserves using a range of exploration methods. These include collecting different data layers such as geological and topographical maps at various scales, trenching, sampling, geophysical operations, borehole drilling, core logging, and sample analysis.
As a result of these activities, several million tonnes of lead mineral reserves have been identified and estimated in various sections of the mine.
Key Activities of the Team Include:
Geological & Exploration Studies: Investigation of structures, rocks, and mineral deposits
Geochemistry & Specialized Sampling: Element analysis and reserve quality determination
Geophysics & Modern Exploration Techniques: High-precision subsurface assessment
Exploratory Drilling & Field Data Collection: Gathering accurate operational information
Mineral Reserve Modeling & Economic Assessment: Predicting deposit volume and quality for optimal extraction
- Purchase and commissioning of 8 core drilling rigs
- Drilling and analysis of approximately 100,000 metres of exploratory boreholes
- Aerial photography of 2,400 hectares of the mine area
- Preparation of geological and tectonic maps of 342 hectares at a scale of 1:1,000
- Conducting geophysical and geochemical studies
- Estimation of proven reserves in 7 underground blocks and 5 open-pit blocks
